Park City's largest annual fundraiser returns Friday, Nov. 6, with a goal of raising $5.5 million for 137 local nonprofits.
The Park City Community Foundation announced the 16th annual Live PC Give PC in an Oct. 6 press release. The 24-hour giving day aims to draw at least 6,800 individual donors, with gifts starting at $5. Since launching in 2011, the event has raised more than $40 million for nonprofits serving the Wasatch Back.
Joel Zarrow, president and CEO of the Community Foundation, said in the announcement that the goal follows record-breaking results in 2025. "We invite everyone to take part this year by giving to the organizations that mean the most to them," Zarrow said.
All 137 participating nonprofits serve Park City and Summit County. 70% also operate across the broader Wasatch Back or statewide.
Nonprofits compete for $47,500 in cash prizes awarded by number of unique donors, not total dollars raised. That means a $5 gift carries the same weight as a $500 one. New this year, businesses or clubs that create a group giving page can win a $2,500 prize to direct to the nonprofit of their choice.
On Nov. 6, surprise "Power Hours" sponsored by Park City Mountain and the Vail Resorts Epic Promise Foundation will add a $10 boost to donations. Early giving is already open at livepcgivepc.org.
Three events anchor the day:
- Giving Day Fest, 4 to 6:30 p.m. at Park City Library. The all-ages event, sponsored by Athletes Elevated, features live music produced by Mountain Town Music, free tacos, donuts from Chomp Donuts & Coffee, hot chocolate, puppies from Nuzzles & Co., face painting, a 360° photo booth and a claw machine with prizes.
- Woodward Park City, 4 to 8 p.m. School-aged kids and teens get reduced-rate entry and perks.
- High West Saloon, 8 p.m. to midnight. An evening celebration open to nonprofits, volunteers and donors age 21 and older.
Hundreds of volunteers in signature bright orange T-shirts will be stationed at schools, businesses, street corners and roundabouts across greater Park City. KPCW 91.7 FM will broadcast live updates throughout the day.
Residents who want to help before Nov. 6 can volunteer to hang posters and connect with local businesses. The first shift runs Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 2 to 5 p.m. A second shift follows Oct. 22, from 3 to 5 p.m. Both meet at the Community Foundation office at 1918 Prospector Ave. Contact Abbey Eddy at [email protected] or 435-649-7366 to sign up.
