Summit County residents can get flu and COVID-19 shots at three drive-thru clinics Tuesday through Tuesday, Oct. 6–8, with no appointment and no insurance required.

The Summit County Health Department's annual Vax 'N Go clinics run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, as first reported by the Park Record. Residents can stay in their vehicles or walk up, according to the department's website.

The schedule:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 6: Kamas Library Branch, 110 N. Main St., Kamas
  • Wednesday, Oct. 7: Summit County Fairgrounds, 202 Park Road, Coalville
  • Thursday, Oct. 8: Park City Mountain Resort, 1498 Lowell Ave., Park City

The health department will offer standard, high-dose and nasal spray flu vaccines along with the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, TownLift reported. Vaccines are free for uninsured residents. The department said no one will be turned away for lack of insurance.

No appointment is necessary.

The department recommends getting a flu vaccine in October, ahead of the winter respiratory illness season.

Health Director Dr. Phil Bondurant has made removing cost barriers a priority. In an August interview with the Park Record about school vaccination clinics, Bondurant said cost should never stop families from getting vaccinated. "Folks can show up. We'll figure out a way to get them vaccinated and taken care of," he said at the time.

The department is also looking for volunteers aged 18 and older to help with setup, takedown and traffic control. Interested residents can email Matt Wolbach at [email protected].

Vaccinations are also available during regular hours at health department offices in Park City, Coalville and Kamas. More information is available at SummitCountyHealth.org or by calling 435-333-1500.
