Park City's Song Summit is bringing three days of live music, chef-led dinners, wellness sessions, and free community programming to downtown August 27 through August 29, with a new home base at Library Field next to the Park City Library.
The sixth annual gathering spreads across three venues: The Marquis at 427 Main St. for evening concerts, the Jim Santy Auditorium on the library's third floor for daytime "Summit Labs," and Library Field at 1255 Park Ave. for the free Song Summit Village. The Village relocated to Library Field this year because City Park, its previous home, is under construction, Song Summit founder Ben Anderson told the Park Record in May 2026.
What's free
The Song Summit Village at Library Field is open to everyone at no cost. Hours run 4:30-7 p.m. August 27, and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. August 28 and August 29. Expect food trucks, vendors, nonprofit booths, songwriting sessions from the Summit Rising emerging artist program, and guest speakers including former U.S. Rep. Ben McAdams on civility. Singer-songwriter Steve Poltz will lead a kids' songwriting session.
Music headliners
Evening shows at The Marquis feature Jim James (acoustic), Dumpstaphunk, Sierra Hull, Steve Poltz, and Mountain Jam, a Song Summit Collective with Eric Krasno, Patrick Hallahan of My Morning Jacket, Nicki Bluhm, Ivan Neville, Tony Hall, Ross James, and Alex Koford. Saturday night closes with "Ace Back to Back," a tribute to the late Bob "Ace" Weir, performed by Aiko and Friends, the band led by Song Summit founder Ben Anderson, with guests including Krasno, Bluhm, and Holly Bowling. Weir, one of the founding guitarists of the Grateful Dead, died Saturday, January 10, 2026. He performed at Song Summit in 2023 at Canyons Village for the 40th anniversary of the Grateful Dead playing at Park West.

Wellness and culinary
Morning wellness on August 28 and August 29, includes breathwork, yoga, and meditation led by KJ Ward of The Backseat Lovers. A 5K fun run/walk on August 28, will be led by James Beard Award-winning Chef Gregory Gourdet, with a portion of the entry fee benefiting the Song Summit Foundation.
The culinary lineup expands from one chef in 2025 to five James Beard Award winners: Andrew Zimmern, Sean Brock, Gourdet, Stephanie Izard, and Damaris Phillips. Evening "Summit Supper Club" dinners at Le Depot Brasserie on Main Street are limited to 200 guests per night, starting at $350.
Summit Labs
Ticketed daytime labs at Jim Santy Auditorium run three sessions per day at $100 for a full-day pass. Programming includes a live-score screening of "Mountains of the Moon" by filmmaker and skier Chris Benchetler, a session on story, song, and film with Jim James and Benchetler, and "Vinyl & Vittles" with Chef Sean Brock and KRCL DJ Eugenie Hero Jaffe.
"We really don't talk about ourselves as a festival. We're a summit," Anderson told the Park Record in May 2026. "We are a community event run by Parkites, owned by Parkites and invested in financially and spiritually by Parkites."
Last year's event drew between 4,000 and 5,000 attendees per day, with about 40 percent traveling from out of state, according to TownLift's October 2025 coverage.
