Recycle Utah will give Wasatch Back residents their first look at plans for a new, larger facility on Aug. 22, during the nonprofit's 11th annual 100-Mile Meal fundraiser dinner at Red Pine Lodge on Park City Mountain.

Executive Director Andy Hecht announced the summer lineup on KPCW's "Local News Hour" on Wednesday, July 22.

100-Mile Meal and facility reveal

The 100-Mile Meal is a family-style dinner sourced entirely from farms and producers within 100 miles of Park City. It runs from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Red Pine Lodge and is capped at 200 guests. Hecht said Vail Resorts chefs at the lodge prepare the menu using only hyper-local ingredients.

After dinner, the evening shifts to the Recycle Utah Rendezvous, running from 7:30 to 10 p.m. The nonprofit will unveil conceptual drawings for a facility on a 4.18-acre parcel along the U.S. 40 corridor, a site Park City transferred to Summit County and Recycle Utah through a partnership announced in October 2025. Details on size, programming, and cost have not yet been made public. The organization is targeting a March 2027 groundbreaking.

"We are excited to share with our community the direction Recycle Utah is going, and this is finally the chance we get to open up and show everyone," Hecht said on KPCW.

Tickets

Tickets for the full evening, including dinner and the Rendezvous, are $300. Residents who want to attend only the Rendezvous portion can join for $100. Complete details and tickets are available at recycleutah.org/event/100mm/.
