Two-time Olympic gold medalist Ted Ligety returns to Deer Valley's slopes in "Warren Miller's Days Off," the 77th film in the annual winter sports series.
The film screens in Park City on Saturday, Nov. 7, at The Marquis, with two additional showings Sunday, Nov. 8, at Jim Santy Auditorium. Tickets are available through Warren Miller's film tour website.
The Marquis has scheduled its Nov. 7 screening for 7 p.m. The venue's event calendar lists the film as part of Warren Miller's annual tour.
The Park City Film screenings at Jim Santy Auditorium are scheduled for 3 and 6 p.m. Nov. 8. Tickets cost $30, according to Park City Film.
The film follows professional skiers and snowboarders spending time away from competition. Katie Burrell hosts the installment, which includes segments filmed at Deer Valley, in Canada, Japan, Chamonix and Alaska.
Ligety appears in the Deer Valley segment alongside former ski racer Kaylin Richardson, professional skier Pep Fujas and Chuck Mumford. The segment also features their families, according to Park City Film's description.
Other segments feature skijoring in Banff, skiing in Whistler and high-alpine terrain in Chamonix. The film also follows snowboarder Jess Kimura in Hokkaido, Japan.
Ligety, a Park City native, won Olympic gold medals in alpine combined in 2006 and giant slalom in 2014. His career also included five World Championship gold medals and 25 World Cup victories, according to the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame.
Ligety was named to the Hall of Fame's Class of 2026. The class will be inducted April 10, 2027, at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center in Ogden.
The Park City screenings give local audiences an opportunity to see Ligety and other skiers on familiar Deer Valley terrain before the winter season.
