Park City police logged a suspected assault, a tire slashing and more than a dozen other incidents during the week of Sept. 7–13, according to public agency records published by the Park Record.

The assault was reported at 1 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at or near a Main Street business. Police provided no details. The tire slashing was reported at 3:26 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7, on Homestake Road. A caller told police a ninja star was stuck in the tire.

Suspicious activity and intoxication

At 8:38 p.m. Sept. 12, someone reported a man at a lodging property on Lowell Avenue attempting to enter guest rooms. The man claimed he was conducting room audits, according to police logs. The department classified the case as suspicious.

At 10:42 p.m. that night, police were told someone in black clothing was running up Main Street and yelling at servers. Police logged it as suspected intoxication.

On Park Avenue at 4:21 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, police took one person into custody in a suspected intoxication case. Public logs did not describe the circumstances.

A phone was reported stolen on Kearns Boulevard at 11:20 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11. Police classified that case as suspected intoxication, though logs did not clarify whether the designation applied to the victim, a suspect or both.

Noise and littering

Three people were reported drinking on the Rail Trail near Prospector Avenue at 5:04 p.m. Sept. 13. The caller told police there were ongoing problems with people "leaving litter & beer cans all over the trail." Police classified the case as suspected littering.

A loud party in a Homestake Road parking lot drew a complaint at 9:28 p.m. Sept. 13. The caller said the noise sounded like a large group but could not see anyone.

A vehicle playing loud music outside a Golden Way residence at 12:09 a.m. Sept. 12 was also parked in a prohibited spot, police were told.

Traffic incidents

Police also logged several traffic-related cases during the week, according to a separate Park Record report.

A caller reported road rage on S.R. 224 at 6:44 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, telling police one party was "throwing items" at the other car.

A cement truck was reported swerving in and out of lanes on Kearns Boulevard at 10:33 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9. That evening, an officer stopped a driver on S.R. 224 near Meadows Drive for traveling 61 mph in a 45 mph zone.

On Sept. 13, an officer pulled over a driver after observing a child's head poking out of a sunroof while the vehicle was moving. A suspected hit-and-run was also reported in a garage near Heber Avenue and Swede Alley.

A side-by-side vehicle was reported speeding without lights on Queen Esther Drive at 9:01 p.m. Sept. 13.

Other reports

Youngsters were reported throwing rocks at a car on Park Avenue on Thursday, Sept. 10, causing windshield damage. An open manhole near Kearns Boulevard and Bonanza Drive was flagged as a traffic hazard on Wednesday, Sept. 9. Salespeople described as "very rude & pushy" prompted a suspicious-activity report on Aerie Drive on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
