Park City Community Foundation distributed $11.8 million in grants, donations and program funding across Park City and Summit County during its 2026 fiscal year, the organization announced Wednesday, Sept. 9.

The cumulative total since 2007: $96.3 million.

CEO Joel Zarrow released the figures ahead of the foundation's annual Grants Celebration at Silver Lake Lodge, sponsored by Deer Valley Resort. "Local nonprofits are the lifeblood of this community," Zarrow said in the announcement. "Through grants and our wide-ranging support of the nonprofit sector, we're making more healthcare, arts and culture, education, sports and recreation, and belonging possible through collective giving."

The $11.8 million breaks down into three streams. The foundation distributed $4.7 million through 794 grants to local nonprofits, including grants from its initiatives, donor-advised funds and other programs. Live PC Give PC, the annual giving day, generated $5.5 million in donations. The foundation invested another $1.6 million in direct program delivery through Youth United, Early Childhood Alliance, Zero Food Waste and the Women's Giving Fund.

Alongside the fiscal-year totals, the foundation announced a new round of Community Fund grants totaling $475,000 to 55 local nonprofits. Deer Valley Resort contributed $100,000 of that amount. The Community Fund pools hundreds of individual gifts and directs unrestricted dollars to organizations providing essential services across Summit County.

Recipients span arts, health, education and recreation. They include the Egyptian Theatre, Kimball Art Center, KPCW, National Ability Center, Peace House, People's Health Clinic, Recycle Utah, Summit Land Conservancy, Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation, Youth Sports Alliance and 45 other organizations.

The foundation's Youth United program, one of the four that received the $1.6 million in program funding, has been expanding access to sports for Summit County families. In a July 28 appearance on KPCW's "Local News Hour," Zarrow described cost of living as one of the community's critical challenges. "… Mountain biking, skiing, all the sports and activities cost a lot of money, and we want to make sure that everybody has access to it," he said.

The Grants Celebration also listed Community Pass Club partners that support the foundation, including Deer Valley Resort, Park City Mountain, High West Distillery, Utah Olympic Park and the Utah Symphony | Utah Opera.
