Park City restaurants have lined up specials and three signature events running through October, the Park City Area Restaurant Association (PCARA) announced Sept. 9.

The shoulder-season calendar is anchored by the seventh annual Park City Wine Festival from Thursday, Oct. 1, through Saturday, Oct. 3, the 10th annual Shot Ski on Saturday, Oct. 10, and the 14th annual Dine About throughout October, according to the Park Record. PCARA Executive Director Ginger Wicks said the association wants locals and visitors to take advantage of the dining scene before summer ends.

Wine Festival: Oct. 1-3

The Wine Festival's signature draw is the Grand Tasting, offered in three sessions across Friday and Saturday. Attendees can sample more than 200 wines alongside food from Encanto, Big Dipper and The Grazing Feather, with live music, according to the Park Record's Tasting Notes column. Friday and the first Saturday session include a limited number of "First Sip" tickets that grant entry 30 minutes early.

Shot Ski: Oct. 10

The Shot Ski returns to Historic Main Street at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, co-presented by Park City Sunrise Rotary Club and High West Distillery. Participants line up along a communal ski and throw back a shot of High West Double Rye Whiskey. The fundraising goal is $86,000 for local organizations.

There is also a world-record attempt at stake. The Rotary Club needs 1,430 people to surpass the 1,420-person mark Breckenridge, Colorado, set at its Ullr Festival last December, KPCW reported. Residents who want to help can donate old skis longer than 175 centimeters by emailing Mike Luers at [email protected]. Skis must have a smooth surface with no twin tips, long rocker tips, or narrow race or cross-country profiles.

Dine About and September specials

The 14th annual Dine About will feature food and drink specials and new menu items from local restaurants throughout October. PCARA said participating restaurant details are still forthcoming.

Meanwhile, several restaurants are offering deals through the rest of September. Cena Ristorante is hosting Wine & Dine Wednesdays on Sept. 16, 23 and 30, where Chef Tobin Torrez prepares a four-course tasting menu for $70, with an optional $45 wine pairing. Reservations are available on RESY or by calling 435-940-2200.

Other September deals include $10 happy hour specials on drinks and Spanish tapas at 710 Bodega, Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30 to 7 p.m., and a $15 grab-and-go Golfer's "Tee Box" breakfast at Squatters Roadhouse.

Deer Valley Resort hosts its Mountain Beer Festival noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, and Sunday, Sept. 20, on the lawn at Silver Lake Lodge, featuring more than 20 Utah breweries and cideries. Dylan Catrone plays Saturday and G. Love & Special Sauce plays Sunday.
