Skiers heading to Canyons Village for the 2026-27 season will pay $29 to park in the resort's new five-story garage before noon, or nothing if they show up with a full car or wait until afternoon.

Park City Mountain released its 2026-27 parking plan the week of Aug. 21, filling in pricing and logistics for the garage that has been rising at the southeast corner of Lower Village Road and the Frostwood Drive/Canyons Resort Drive roundabout since March 2025. The structure won't be ready by the resort's Nov. 20 target opening day. It is expected to open in early December, according to KPCW.

Until then, skiers can use surrounding surface lots, which will be free for season pass holders.

What it costs

The garage requires a reservation and charges $29 per day before noon. After noon, parking is free. Carpools of four or more people park free all day. A free, first-come, first-served surface lot adjacent to the garage will also be available.

At Canyons Village, reservations are requested for pass holders before noon but not required for anyone. That's a lighter touch than Mountain Village, where reservations remain mandatory before noon for everyone, including season pass holders, the Park Record reported.

Season passes

Season parking passes for the Canyons Village garage and the Mountain Village garage cost $825 each. They go on general public sale Sept. 1. Early access is already open for skiers who held 2025-26 parking passes and have an active Epic Pass.

Only Epic Pass holders with Park City Mountain access on their pass are eligible. Season pass holders still need to make a reservation for each visit. And buying a pass doesn't guarantee a spot. The resort's website states that "inventory will be monitored and additional reservations may be released as capacity changes."

The Skyway

The new Canyons Village Skyway gondola, which replaces the aging Cabriolet lift, is set to begin operations on opening day, Nov. 20. It will carry visitors from the parking area to the resort village.

The garage itself, developed by Canyons Village master developer TCFC, features a beetle-kill lodgepole pine facade, electric vehicle charging stations and Dark Sky-compliant design, according to Vail Resorts.

What's next

Epic Pass prices for the 2026-27 season range from $829 to $1,119 for adults depending on resort access, with prices increasing after Sept. 7. Deer Valley Resort has not yet announced an opening day.
