A Kamas-based cidery that has built distribution across Park City's bar and restaurant scene is celebrating its first year with a supersized bottle and an expanding orchard.
Dendric Estate released a 1.5-liter Magnum bottle of its flagship Dry Cut cider on Monday, July 27, priced at $44.95. The large-format release marks the one-year anniversary of Dry Cut, which launched in July 2025 as the cidery's debut product.
"From the beginning, we've wanted people to think about cider the same way they think about great wine," founder Brendan Coyle said in the Park Record announcement. "Large-format bottles have always been part of that culture of sharing with an eye-catching centerpiece."
Coyle is no newcomer to Park City's beverage scene. He served as a founding managing partner and master distiller at High West Distillery before Constellation Brands acquired it in 2016, according to a Mountain Park City profile. He holds a master's degree in brewing and distilling sciences from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. He and wife Carly Coyle purchased the 20-acre Kamas property in 2019.
Since Dry Cut's launch, the cidery has expanded distribution across the Park City and Salt Lake City markets and into southern Utah, including St. George, the greater Zion area, and Moab, according to the Park Record.
Dry Cut is available in three formats: the new Magnum (1.5L), standard (750ml), and a 375ml half-bottle that is also sold at Utah state liquor stores. All three are available at Dendric Estate's on-site bottle shop at 2617 S.R. 32, Kamas, open Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 5 p.m.
The cidery completed its first estate harvest in 2025, pulling fruit from eight cider-specific apple varietals with help from the Kamas Valley Gardening Club.
The cidery plans to release a second cider later in 2026 and break ground on a public tasting room. The Magnum will be available in limited quantities, with additional bottlings planned throughout the year.
